Itinerary (subject to change)

Day 1:

We depart from Frankfurt International Airport, Terminal 1. After check in (please check in minimum 2 hours prior to departure), we meet at the gate of our flight. We fly with Lufthansa at 1:00 pm to Porto. Arriving in Porto (2:45 pm), our shuttle bus is already waiting for us to take us to our centrally located 4 star hotel. We are staying in a modern hotel that offers quality services, with spacious and exterior rooms and located in one of the most commercial areas of Porto. After checking in at the hotel, you have the rest of the day at leisure. Your guide will provide you with suggestions for dinner.

Day 2:

After breakfast, you'll start by exploring Porto. This northern city is known for its sweet Port wine, among other things. During your tour, you'll discover the historic Ribeira district with its enchanting alleys and protected little houses. Beautiful Baroque buildings, such as the Clérigos Cathedral with its impressive bell tower, adorn the city. Just a few minutes' walk away is the famous Lello & Irmao bookstore, considered one of the most beautiful bookstores in all of Europe due to its neo-Gothic façade and Art Nouveau interior. Perhaps take a quick stop at the Majestic Café before heading on to Guimarães. The historic center of Guimarães, like Porto's Old Town, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. During your visit, you'll see the city’s castle, the 15th-century Palácio dos Duques de Bragança (entrance optional), and the small Romanesque St. Michael’s Church. Walking along Rua de Santa Maria, the oldest and arguably the most beautiful street in the city, you'll arrive at the main square, Largo da Oliveira. Next, you'll head to Braga, located in the heart of the fertile Minho region and one of Portugal's most important religious centers. Here, you’ll see, among other things, Baroque churches, 18th-century houses, and the ancient old town. After this varied day, you’ll return to your hotel in Porto.

Day 3:

After breakfast and check-out, we continue our journey, traveling through Coimbra on our way to Lisbon. Once we arrive in the Portuguese capital, we will check in at our hotel and enjoy a relaxing dinner. Thanks to the hotel’s close proximity to the beautiful Eduardo VII Park, you may want to take a leisurely stroll afterward and unwind while enjoying the greenery and peaceful atmosphere.

Day 4:

After buffet breakfast in the hotel we meet our local guide and start with our sightseeing tour. From the Castle of Sao Jorge, the entire panorama of Lisbon unfolds before your eyes. In the Belem district you can visit the magnificent Jeronimos Monastery (entrance fee included) and the Seafarers' Monument, the Torre de Belem brings back memories of the great explorers and the old town of Alfama simply enchants with its small streets and the Romanesque cathedral. A highlight in Lisbon is the famous Pastéis de Belém pastries — you should definitely try them! The seven hills that Lisbon is situated on make it almost impossible to reach everything on foot. An excellent way to see the city is on a historic Tram. It is THE experience in Lisbon. The original wagons from the 1930s are made entirely of wood on the inside. The ride takes you up and down the hills of Lisbon in steep curves, past Lisbon's main sights and through narrow streets. The evening is free for own activities. Lisbon is considered the center of fado. It is to Portugal what flamenco is to Spain. A music, a tradition, a way of life. Anyone who approaches it learns a lot about the city and the people in it. Fado sure, that's some fiery guitarros and heartbreaking vocals. In the meantime, he has been officially ennobled: since 2011, fado has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Don't miss out on this special musical experience in a typical Fado bar! 

Day 5:

After buffet breakfast in the hotel we start with a full day excursion. Today you will get to know the stretches of the coast west of Lisbon. In Sintra you will first see the Royal Palace (entrance fee included). It's peculiarities are the two large conical chimneys and the twin windows with the horseshoe arches, reminiscent of Moorish architecture. Afterwards you will visit Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. The seaside resort of Estoril is another stop on the excursion. In Estoril there are remains of Roman villas from around the time of the birth of Christ. In the evening we drive back to your hotel in Lisbon. Your guide will make suggestions for evening activities

Day 6:

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. You have free time until the afternoon. After checking out you can leave your luggage at the hotel. How about adding a visit to the artistic Bairro Alto district and the LX Factory? Here you’ll find numerous vintage shops and plenty of local eateries that are perfect for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon we meet our aiport shuttle bus. Our flight with Lufthansa is departing at 4:20 pm. Arrival time in Frankfurt is 8:25 pm
