Ireland - Dublin, Belfast & Cliffs of Moher

Embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Emerald Isle. Start in Dublin, Ireland’s lively capital, filled with rich history, cozy pubs, and vibrant culture. Then travel north to Belfast, the dynamic capital of Northern Ireland, known for its Titanic heritage. Finally, experience the raw beauty of the Cliffs of Moher, where dramatic cliffs meet the wild Atlantic Ocean. This trip offers the perfect mix of city charm, cultural depth, and breathtaking nature.

Itinerary (subject to change)

Day 1: Check-in at Frankfurt Airport is at 08:30 AM, with our direct Aer Lingus flight to Dublin departing at 10:50 AM. We are scheduled to arrive in Dublin around noon. Upon arrival, we’ll be met at the airport by our private coach and local guide, who will accompany us into the city center. Our time in Dublin begins with a panoramic sightseeing tour of the Irish capital. We’ll see Trinity College, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. The college is home to the world-famous Book of Kells, an intricately illuminated manuscript dating back to the 8th century (entrance fee not included). Next, we’ll explore St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where author Jonathan Swift—best known for Gulliver’s Travels—once served as Dean. Other highlights of the city tour include Phoenix Park, O’Connell Street with its striking monument The Spire, the Oscar Wilde Memorial, and the iconic Ha’penny Bridge. After the tour, we’ll check in to our centrally located hotel. Trinity College and the lively Temple Bar district are just a 6–10 minute walk away. In the evening, we recommend an optional dinner with traditional Irish music and dancing—a perfect way to start our journey through Ireland!

Day 2: After breakfast, you have the whole day at leisure or book a visit to the Guinness Brewery and the famous Jameson Whiskey Distillery in advance (ticket extra). Your tour guide will be happy to take you to these attractions. For an unforgettable experience, you also can join a full-day excursion to the Giant’s Causeway and the Dark Hedges  (additional cost: appr. €80 per person). We’ll begin with a scenic coastal drive offering breathtaking views of Whitepark Bay and Portbradden. Then, we’ll visit the famous Giant’s Causeway, home to 37,000 awe-inspiring basalt columns, whose tops form natural “stepping stones” stretching from the cliff foot and disappearing beneath the sea. These columns reappear on the island of Straffe, giving rise to the legend that the giant Finn McCool built this road to cross over to Scotland. It’s truly one of the most amazing natural wonders in the world! Next, we’ll stop at the iconic Dark Hedges, one of Northern Ireland's most popular natural landmarks. These majestic beech trees were famously featured as the King's Road in Game of Thrones (Season 2). Planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century, they were meant to impress visitors as they approached the entrance to Gracehill House. Over two centuries later, the trees still stand tall, forming a striking avenue known as the Dark Hedges. It’s a truly magical spot, perfect for photos and to marvel at nature’s beauty! In the evening, immerse yourself in Dublin's nightlife in the famous Temple Bar district.

Day 3: After breakfast in the hotel we depart for the second largest city - Belfast. We will spend the whole day to see the top attractions of Belfast like St. George's Market, Albert Clock with possible stops at wall murals in Falls and Crumlin Roads. We will end the tour at the Titanic Quarter a thriving and bustling destination on the Maritime Mile. Here you have time to visit the Titanic Belfast Museum (ticket extra). Titanic Belfast tells the story of Titanic from her conception, through her construction and launch, to her maiden voyage and subsequent place in history. Take the opportunity and walk the decks and explore the last remaining White Star Line Vessel in the world. In the early evening we will arrive back in Dublin. Your guide will make suggestions for dinner in one of the cozy pubs in Dublin.

Day 4: Your day begins early in the heart of Dublin, where you’ll be greeted by your friendly guide and board a comfortable coach. As the city slowly fades in the rearview mirror, your guide will share fascinating stories about Irish history, folklore, and the landscapes you're about to explore. You’ll journey westward across the country, passing through the rolling green hills of the Midlands, with scenic views of farmland, stone walls, and grazing sheep. Along the way, the tour usually includes a stop in a charming town like Kilfenora, Limerick, or Galway, giving you a chance to stretch your legs, grab a coffee, and experience a bit of authentic Irish village life. As you approach County Clare, the excitement builds. Soon, you arrive at the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most iconic natural landmarks. Towering over 700 feet (214 meters) above the Atlantic Ocean, the cliffs offer jaw-dropping views and incredible photo opportunities. Your guide will point out highlights like O’Brien’s Tower, the Aran Islands, and perhaps even puffins or other seabirds nesting in the cliffs. You'll typically have around 1.5 to 2 hours to explore the cliffs at your own pace, visit the eco-friendly Visitor Centre, and learn about the geology and wildlife of the area through interactive exhibits. On the return journey, relax in your seat as your guide shares more Irish legends and music, making the drive feel just as enjoyable as the destination. By evening, you’ll be back in Dublin—tired but thrilled—after a day filled with stunning scenery, fresh Atlantic air, and unforgettable memories of Ireland’s wild west coast.

Day 5: After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and head to the charming coastal village of Howth. Our first stop takes us to the dramatic, wildflower-covered sea cliffs, offering stunning views of the Irish coastline. We then continue to the picturesque harbor of Howth, where—with a bit of luck—we might spot seals swimming between the moored fishing boats. There will be time to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch by the water and take a relaxing stroll along the harbor promenade before we make our way to the airport. Our return flight to Frankfurt departs in the afternoon at 4:05 PM.
